WELCOME TO THE PELLIKAAN CUP TOURNAMENT SITE

Henk Pellikaan (1910-1999 was a Dutch football player and businessman. Pellikaan came as a midfielder in the youth of Sparta Leerdam and from 1928 to T.S.V. LONGA from Tilburg. He played between 1932 and 1936 a total of 13 matches in the Dutch National footballteam. He also was part of the squad for the World Cup in 1934.
Pellikaan worked since 1928 as a calculator at construction Gebrs. Struijcken. Even before the Second World War, he founded his own construction company in which he became a millionaire. Pellikaan Construction was familiar with the construction of indoor sports halls. His business also had a branch in Germany. He was also chairman of the Tilburg Ice Hockey Association and the ice rink opened in Tilburg in 1969 Pellikaanhal was named after him. In his remembrance we organise the Pellikaan Cup.
When
The tournament will start on saterday 18th June and will end on sunday 19th June. Even when the dutch did not qualify for the EC in France all matches in this weekend will be shown on big screen in our clubhouse.
Where
The tournament takes place on the fields of TSV LONGA in Tilburg. a club with a very rich history. Tilburg is a city in the south of Holland (population: 200.000)
Why
The tournament is excellent preparation for the next season, as well as conclusion of the current season. A great football weekend out with your team which is discussed both sporty and lively aspect. Test your new players, anything is possible. We offer a tournament in a nice atmosphere in a lively, vibrant city of Tilburg.
Level
As there will be a lot of mixed teams on this tournament, it is hard to talk about a certain level. The Home team TSV LONGA plays in the second class, which is the 6th level in Holland, starting with the Pro leaugue.
Fees
For every player we ask a small fee of € 25,00.
